Asa kucing vs mice...

It has been a while since my last entry.. This will be the moment you guys have been waiting for.. Hehe.. Ok, this time I will expose a bit of GOSSIP rumahtangga.. If I don't, Mak Miao aka Aiza will scold me for giving empty promises..

Ok, this is a bit dated.. Well, recently our house had guest(s) .. Guess who... (the answer is not Waq unfortunately)

Well, this one seems cuter than our real guests, nonetheless a good sample picture. And there wasn't just one mouse, there were several of them.. Initially they helped thenselves with food stored in the cabinet, an instant Lemang made by Adabi to be exact. I guess Adabi does make quality products..

You guys should see how TheWife squeeled when the mouse pekaboo'ed from behind the closet. Personally, I think the mouse was afraid of her, not the other way around.. The mice stayed underground as she rummaged and block the back of our cabinet with boxes. Weird old cabinet..it doesn't have a back...

Being a macho guy I am, I bought a mouse trap( actually it was after The Wife nagged me endlessly about it and wouldn't stop unless I 'GET IT RIGHT NOW!!!'), UK styled like you always see in Tom and Jerry and set it beside the refrigerator. I still remember in KMYS how I'm the only one in my chalet who always have to pick the stray frog which lost its way into the living room. Ah Beng always calls "Asa!~ Got new frog here". Strangely, a couple of days went by before the mice took the bait (a level 3 Full-Flavoured Mature Sainsbury's Basics cheese).

When the mice took the bait, at the same time one of its kin/anak/husband/maybe wife/sleeping partner/gay? found it's way into our rubbish bin. I had to laugh when The Wife asked "How can the mouse get into our house and into the rubbish bin? They can climb walls ke?". Not wanting to kill anymore than necessary, I took the rubbish bin and tried to set the mouse free in nearby park so that it can eat acorn? like its squirrel friends. Halfway along the way, the mouse jumped out startling me and scurried along the road. I hope it finds a new home somewhere else.

Later that night I heard a rustling noise in the rubbish bin... yerps.. it's another one or maybe the one that got away came back. Is our house infested with these creatures??!!!???? anyway... the trap was laid down again, and the mouse was not seen in the house ever since.

Probably we have to wait until the cheese bait becomes more mature...

disclaimer: this does not in anyway imply that The Wife did not clean the house regularly ( I need to state this if not abislaaaa kene marah...hehehehe.. and dier boycott tak nak kemas rumah dah)
